Commonly Asked Questions

*Why is there no Junior prizegiving?

There is no Junior prizegiving as the feedback consistently received over the last few years was that teams in grade 12 and under wanted to do their own event. Last year Junior prizegiving was cancelled due to lack of interest. We appreciate there will be teams that would like to join prizegiving, however due to the amount of teams we are managing (130 teams total, 67 junior teams) and the volume of feedback, allowing these grades to do their own prizegiving is the most suitable option.

What will each player receive?

In each player pack will contain:

  • Their team photo
  • A certificate with their name on (you are able to write on the back)

When these are ready to be collected, we will email coaches & managers directly. The latest possible date we are aiming for is Friday 13th September - however we are reliant on when these items arrive from the engravers/printers etc. As soon as these are ready, we will email you.

When can I collect team photos, certificates and/or medals?

Once we receive all of these items from the engravers/printers, they will be made up into player packs. We will then email all coaches and managers to inform them when they can pick them up and where. Due to being reliant on when we receive these items, currently the earliest you will be able to collect them is one week before prize giving - the week of the 8th. However, if we receive all of these items earlier, we will let you know. If there are any delays, we will also inform coaches in good time.

Who decides who wins awards?

The Awards Committee is made up of the following staff members representing specific areas of the Club:

Garbhan Coughlan, Director of Football, High Performance Representative

Ella Jackson, Women & Girls Development Officer, Women & Girls Representative

Lyle Matthyson, Community Football Development Officer, Community Football Representative

As far as I'm aware, none of the Committee have observed my team this season - how do they know who's best?

As a community football club with a strong focus on development and continued growth, all three members of the committee regularly receive and request feedback from coaches, managers and other staff members within the Club on stand out players. The aim of the committee is to observe each team in the club at least once a season. This can be on a matchday, a training session or on a VEO recording.
