CTFC Girls U14 Academy & U16 Academy 2024
In 2022 Cashmere Technical FC launched their very first Girls Talent Development Programme. As the girls and women’s game grows in New Zealand, Cashmere Technical acknowledges its role to support and develop emerging female players with an aspirational pathway.
After the Women’s World Cup came to our shores in 2023 and the Wellington Phoenix starting the first female New Zealand professional team, the time is now to continue to grow and develop an already great female programme within our football club.
After the sucess of the U14s Academy team, we have decided to run a U14 and U16 Academy team from 2023.
How are we going to grow Girls and Women's Football?
We will run a Talent Development Programme similar to our already successful TDP programme in the boys' space. Our new Girls programme will run for 30 weeks of the year and will introduce the tactical side of the game alongside technical and physical components. It will also introduce the players to Strength and Conditioning (S&C), Injury Prevention, Video Analysis and more. The team will be led by a C-License coach with two sessions a week at our fantastic facilities at Garrick Park and Whittington Av plus a game in the Mainland Football competition.
Our Girls U14 Academy programme will be for players born in 2010 & 2011.
Our Girls U16 Academy programme will be for players born in 2008 & 2009.
By running this Programme and linking it back to our Academy and its values, we will create better players and more importantly better people. It is from these values that we will learn, grow and develop while also giving back to our football club and community.

CTFC Boys Academy Teams 2024
Our CTFC Academy Teams (U13-U15) operate over 40 weeks of the year and have a detailed training program throughout the year, sports science support from ARA, Qualified coaching staff and train and play on our great facilities at Garrick Park. Our U17 Academy team will operate over 37 weeks of the year which include the Boys Youth National League with opportunites to continue training in Term 4 Youth Development League training squad and Western Springs Tournament squad.

We also run our CTFC Academy Development programme for all players who want to improve. We have over 150 players attending our CTFC Development Academy every week. We will have assessment games in the first week of the Academy Development so that we can tier players in to the appropriate groups and have the best players playing with and against the best players on a regular basis.
