Development Academy Programme and Pre Academy Sessions
Our Academy Development programme is open to all players who wish to improve their skills with professional coaches on excellent facilities. These sessions are a great way to develop skills in a fun environment. Academy Development sessions run throughout the year and are an optional addition to team training.
We run a girls-only group that is coached and mentored by our CWCL and WPL players, along with our Academy Development coaches. The boys groups are 7th and 8th Grade, 9th and 10th Grade and 11th and 12th Grade. Our Academy teams, which play in the Canterbury Development Leagues, are made up of 80/90% of players that have come through our Academy Development programme. Pre Academy Session will be on Monday for the 11th and 12th Grade players.
This year we are continuing our Goalkeeper Academy Development programme run by our Goalkeeper Development Officer Danny Knight who was the first Goalkeeper coach to receive his Goalkeeping C-License on the South Island. This programme is open to both males and females, and you do not need to be a CTFC keeper to be a part of this.

CIC Tournament
Like the last couple of years we are only able to send one team to the CIC Tournament from each age group, so the fairest way is to select players that attend our academy development programme in Term 2.We will release the CIC squads by Friday 10th of May.
The 10th, 11th and 12th Grade CIC teams will be coached by Academy Development Coaches and teams will be selected after consultation with our Academy Coaches. Things that will be looked at are players attitude, ability and attendance.
