Playful Technical Training

Fun Football: 7 - 9 Years

Our in-house Junior competition for Grades 4 to 9

at Centennial Park begins on May 3rd

At Fun Football, we focus on integrating small-sided games (5-a-side for 7th and 8th grades, and 7-a-side for 9th grade) with minimal intervention from parents and game leaders, ensuring a fun-filled morning for all. Our approach allows players to learn basic techniques through engaging small games that target specific technical outcomes, while still encouraging flair and creativity. To foster skill development, we emphasize keeping adult pressure and the focus on 'winning' out of Fun Football. For our 8th Grade session, we also organize "Girls Only" teams, comprising a mix of 8th and 9th Grade players. This initiative helps young girls build confidence and develop their football skills in a supportive and comfortable environment.

Our Centennial Park In-House Junior Programme

At Cashmere Technical FC, we align our junior programmes with New Zealand Football’s Junior Framework, focusing on structured player development, enjoyment, and long-term engagement in the sport. Our goal is to create an inclusive, fun, and structured environment where young players develop a love for football while building key skills at every stage.
